Around 1950, two things emerged that led to the unexpected demise of the original holistic, total-body exercise approach: exercise machines that isolated muscle groups and the discovery of steroids?
After 1950, this new “conventional” exercise industry was heavily influenced by exercise equipment manufacturers and steroid-using bodybuilders?
The conventional exercise approach only trains the large “showy” muscles of the body (10%) and ignores the other 90% of your muscles?
Conventional exercise programs are designed to only work for people with “textbook-perfect” bodies?
That since the 1970’s, there has been an exponential increase in people experiencing orthopedic problems like: low-back pain, shoulder, hip and knee injuries?
